| Aloha!
My name is Lee McIntosh. I'm running for Hawaii State Senator District 2 which consists of all of Representative District 4, Representative District 3 Precincts 1-2,4-5,7-8, & Representative District 5 Precincts 1-6 (Kau, Puna, and a portion of South Hilo).
As your next State Senator, I will strive to be an honest statesman, not a politician. Some may ask what is the difference. A statesman listens to you, considers what is best for the next generation, and then does the right thing; whereas a politician only listens to his constituents, but then pursues his own agenda.
There are six core values that will guide me as we work together to solve problems concerning the future of Hawaii:
- life
- liberty
- limited government
- individual responsibility
- fiscal accountability
- equality of opportunity
Life- the state derives its power from, you, the people. Liberty- the purpose of government is to protect your God given rights. Limited government- big government continually encroaches upon your liberty. Individual responsibility- I trust you more than the government to make better decisions about your life. Fiscal accountability- government should be held responsible for how your tax dollars are spent. Equality of opportunity- you should be allowed the chance to succeed in life.
Your issues and concerns are very important to me. Please feel free to discuss them with me by clicking on the contact link above. If you wish to support my campaign, please visit the contribute and volunteer links above for more information.
Only by solving problems together will we be able to make a positive difference for the future of Hawaii.
